Sikh Gets Suspended

I have found out that a Sikh at Mississauga Secondary School got suspended today foe wearing a kirpan in class. I don't have a lot of the details, but the person in question did not threaten anyone with their Sri Sahib.

I am trying to find out the name of the aforementioned Sikh.

its probably for showing your kirpan or not reporting your kirpan to the school...those are absolute MUSTS for any sikh...lets not start hating the school

Apparently, the kids kirpan showed a little for like one second (sometimes it is near impossible to hide it at all times) and he was suspended.

I never knew that you had to inform the school that you were carrying a Sri Sahib.

What's the status of this now?

If this is indeed the case (suspended for having let the kirpan show a little) then it is not acceptable at all and I hope the Sikh boy and his family take some action on it.

If they'd like, I'd be more than happy to help out in any way I can.

Apparently, the school decided not to suspend the boy. The boy did, however, give the principal a piece of his mind.

Everything always works out
