It is expected from foes to cast stones at you but when a friend throws even a flower at you, it hurts. This is what happened with Mansur who was sentenced to death by Mullahs of his time. He was bleeding from head to toe but still managed a smile on his face but when his childhood friend threw two flowers at him, he cried unconsolably. This is the message of this poem by Barnala jee.

ਮਨਸੂਰ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ


ਬਾਗ਼ੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਮਜ਼ਹਬ ਤੋਂ ‘ਮਨਸੂਰ’ ਜੇਕਰ
ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮੰਨਣਗੇ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਫ਼ੁਰਮਾਨ ਸਾਡਾ
ਜੇ ਨਾਂ ਟੰਗਿਆ ਸੂਲੀ ਤੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਇਹ
ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਸਾਡਾ

ਫ਼ਤਵਾ ਧਰਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਉਦੋਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ
ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਊਣ ਦਾ ‘ਮਨਸੂਰ’ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਕ ਕੋਈ
‘ਹਾਜ਼ੀ ਚੌਕ’ ’ਚ ਬਾਗ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ

ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜਾ ਲਹੂ-ਲੁਹਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ
ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਕਿਵੇਂ ‘ਮਨਸੂਰ’ ਮੁਸਕਰਾਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ
ਕਸੂਰ ਇਹੋ ਕਿ ਹੈ ‘ਬੇਕਸੂਰ’ ਗਾਫ਼ਿਲ
‘ਪੱਥਰ’ ਹੱਸ ਕੇ ਬੇਗਾਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਾਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ

ਭੁੱਲ ਗਿਆ ‘ਸਿਬਲੀ’ ਕਿ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਯਾਰ ਮੇਰਾ
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕਰਜ਼ ਉਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ
ਪਾਲਣਾ ਫ਼ਤਵੇ ਦੀ ‘ਸਿਬਲੀ’ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ
ਫੁੱਲ ‘ਦੋ’ ‘ਮਨਸੂਰ’ ਦੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ

ਵੇਂਹਦਿਆਂ-ਵੇਂਹਦਿਆਂ ਧਾਹੀਂ ‘ਮਨਸੂਰ’ ਰੋਇਆ
ਫੁੱਲ ਯਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਕਟਾਰ ਲੱਗੇ
ਭੋਲੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਦੋਸਤਾ ਉਏ
ਤੇਰੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਾਂਗ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਵੱਜੇ

ਸਲਾਮ ਆਖ਼ਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਸਿਬਲੀਆ ਉਏ
ਅੱਜ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਦੁਰਕਾਰਦਾ ਨਾ
ਲੱਖ ਬਦਲਗੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਬਦਲਦਾ ਨਾ
ਇਹਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ‘ਮਨਸੂਰ’ ਕਦੇ ਹਾਰਦਾ ਨਾ

mansur must have been a very innocent god fearing sauu bholla soul(May akaal purakh bless his soul) but I feel if there was a zabardast gursikh(like Baba BAnda Singh BAhadur Jee or other 700 odd sikhs who got shaheedi that day), they would have remained completely mast and calm even if their childhood friend, brother, chacha, taya, phufarr etc threw flowers at them.

Such is the situation when a Gursikh attacks another Gursikh, verbally or physically. It is easy to take when normal people speak bad about Gurmukhs or gurmat maryada, but it is very saddening when one sikh attacks another gursikh or gurmat maryada.

I feel s. Kulbir singh ji is having very polite at heart and personly i like his views.
The "saransh" extract is tht as explained by gsingh ji in his own excellent way. we can expect anyone of other religion speaking against us but we cant expect this thing from our own giani people like S. kala Afgana and his stuanch follower ghugga speaking against our belif. THIS HURTS IN THE SIMILAR WAY AS MANSOOR got HURTED.
