Kulbir Singh Ji, the examples you gave regarding word "Anad" are you saying that all of them should be pronounced "Anand" as well as anywhere else the word appears in Gurbani? On the same lines should be pronounce "Mudavani" or "Mundavani" (with tippi) on Ang 645? Do the meanings change?

Mundavani and Mudavani are different words with different roots. Mundavani that appears at the end of Siri Guru Granth Sahib jee is a heading and it means Mundana i.e. Closing, mohar chhaap. It's the mohar chhaap. Even Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in his katha of Mundavani has done these meanings of this word. On the other hand, the word Mudavani has its roots in Mudata which means khushi. Here is what Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee says about this word:

There are words like Gobind and Gobid that are same because tippee is missing from these words but on the other hand there are words like Mundavani and Mudavani that are different and tippe is not missing there. There are several other examples where tippee is not missing e.g. Kas means why and Kans means uncle of Siri Krishna.

Some Gursikhs try to connect the Mudavani in Sorath kee Vaar with Mundavani in the end of Siri Guru Granth Sahib jee. There is no connection. It's not as if the question posed in Sorath kee Vaar is being answered in Mundavani.

Baaki Bhai Guru diyaan Guru jee jaande hunn.

Kulbir Singh
