Dear respected brother Surrey Singh jee

My intent was not to ridicule the Anand Karaj - but the Anand Karaj is only such a ceremony when it is two Gursikhs being wedded in commitment to the Guru.

Karisma Kapoor wore thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and peircings, had her hair cut and shaved in several ways, and celebrated her wedding with several hundred varieties of alcoholic beverages. This ceremony was clearly a pakhand.

Even Guru Sahib has called the writings of fake-Gurus as "kachee banee" - just because the term "banee" is used does not mean Guru sahib is being offensive to the term "sachee banee."

Therefore in my humble opinion those weddings that are not conducted with love for the Guru and an honest attempt to follow Guru's rehit are a pakhand.
