---------
What do u mean by free u from world chains? Does that mean u wont have to have a job?
----------

If one indulges in Naam and Gurbani, then one's worldly bonds are loosened and eventually totally removed. If you ask a worldly person to do amritvela or do X amount of paath, he will tell you that he has absoulutely no time and he is speaking the truth. We all have so many bonds and chains around us that we cannot free our mind and indulge in Naam Abhyaas. When a Gursikh truly starts to japp Naam and do paath of Gurbani, then his worldly bonds are loosened. As an example, if it used to take a Gursikh 4 hours to do certain task, it will now take much less and the time thus saved is used by this Gursikh to japp Naam.

I personally know of a Gursikh who used to do only basic nitnem in his first stage. He was working full time and was quite busy at work. He started doing 5 extra Jap jee Sahibs a day. He was pleasantly surprised to see that he was able to accommodate these paaths without letting go any of his worldly tasks. Gradually, he increased his paath to 10 Siri Jap jee Sahibs and then to 15 paaths. Then one day he told me that he is going to do 25 Siri Jap jee Sahibs a day. I was surprised to see that he was able to accomplish this task and all his tasks at job were done on time too. His lunch tim, his break times and his travelling to and from work was all now being utilized in doing paaths. This did not end here. He increased his paath to 35 paaths a day and eventually he was doing 50 Siri Jap jee Sahibs a day, right in front of me. Some days he would do up to 60 paaths a day. Ridhi Sidhi was running around him, waiting for him to command. Whatever he would say used to come true. Sometimes he would even have fun with Ridhi Sidhi. This continued for several months. I was surprised to see that he used to do all his tasks at work in a very short period of time and then get busy with paaths. He had a wonderful time.

So the point I am trying to make is that as a Gursikh increases his paath and Simran, Vaheguru takes away his worldly hurdles, enabling this Gursikh to indulge in Naam and Gurbani freely.

Daas,
Kulbir Singh

duniavi professions are huge obstacles in the path of bhagti and are only a form of maya. And it really doesnt matter what profession it is, farmer, doctor, taxi driver all professions have chintaa, tensions. Infact from personal experience, its better to work in a company, sit in ac, get well paid,do sehaj path from internet side by side, than to do some labour job.
The only way to save oneself from getting khuaar in worldly professions is to develop habit of japping naam for long hours. If this happens, then even while doing professional duties, one can japp naam. A person who doesnt japp naam or japps naam in small intervals will only get khuaar in his profession, irrespective of what the profession is.
Moreover, by japping naam all dunaive kamm become easy, all worldly tasks finish on time whereas by forgetting naam, koi na koi pangaa painda he rehanda, lol.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa,
Waheguru ji ki fateh

Khalsa jio,

Shakti comes only comes from bhagti.

The Best example is did Baba Deep Singh ji ever practice with cutoff Sees (Head) before? As far as we read history they never did yet with sees already cut they fought until that reached the parkarma of Sri Harmandir Sahib. That is only possible if you have naam da khanda internally chalda hovay. Shashtar vidhya or Gatka can be learned from any worldly man what the extreme bhagti (naam da khanda) you have to learn and do your own. Of course with Guru Sahib Kirpa.

Another example is Bhai Lal Singh jee Halwai

hlvweI

. He had no practice of shashtars at all. when Dasam Patshah called him for the jang and he appeared before them and innocently asked Guru Sahib jee that "Hay Sachay Patshah app jee nay daas nu jang vastay bulia hai per daas tan halwai haun de natay sirf khoncha (Use to prepare Khoa) hee chala sakda hai kirpan kivany chalavanga" then Guru Sahib said just give a try to ride horse with Sri Sahib. He obeyed the Guru Sahib's hukam and the person who never ridden on horse before and who never picked up sri Sahib in entire life killed so many moguls and went Shaheed. There are countless examples.

So that is called kirpa. Whenever there is a necessity for a panth Guru Sahib himself prepare their GurSikh instantly with for fight.

Now the recent example of shashtardaris. On Vaisakhi 1978 when Akhand Kirtani Jatha Singhs went to protest with some Singhs from Taksal Jatha there were two Taksal Singhs who had Guns (at that time it was called

dOnwlI

). When firing started from the dushats the first Singh with Gun ran away. Bhai Fauja Singh yelled at him that what are you doing come back but he did not listen. Now the second Singh who had Gun his gun did not responded. So what was the use of those shashtars? Any way Bhai Sahib and other Singhs with great kamai who knew the Gatka went far deep in to dushats camp.

So yes we should spare some time to learn about any modern shashtar available but that alone would not do anything until you have Naam da khada khadakda inside.

Guru Mehar Karay kitay Sada ve khanda Chal pavay.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa
Waheguru ji ki fateh

Another example in baba harnaam singh jee, who had immence amount of naam kamai and did lots of gurbaani path. Any way one day the singhs went on a morcha, and guru jee blessed baba jee with sooo much power that he had loaaads of strengh. He felt as if he could take any man on, thats how much strengh guru jee blessed him with. Then after he did ardas to guru sahib to take this power away from him, as he could'nt control it. Naam is everything, only naaam abyiasy singhs and singhnia are the true warriors of the panth.

I met an elderly Singh in India who said that according to Baba Nand Singh Ji - if you do at least 6 malay (108) of Mool Mantar daily, then you are saved from Narak.

When people do mool mantar or Japji Sahib 'jaap', how do we stop the machini(mechanical) paat and control our Surti?

Without mind control (Surti) surely we are just like Parrots.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa
Waheguru ji ki fateh

Khalsa jio,

We do not understand why we need to see Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh jee's daily routine? Instead we should try to focus and maintain what Guru Sahib prescribed.

Panna 305

And Bhai Sahib strictly implemented that prescription. So he was a true copy of this description of GurSikh. Today are we able to?
