I have been asked by a friend to find out if while boarding airlane in Germany, one has to remove turban during security checkup. Few years ago there were instances where Sikhs were asked to remove turban during security checkup.

Paaji, I live in Germany for a year and when coming back and forth from the UK I never had to take my dastaar off, I used Frankfurt Main airport every time (can't comment on other airports).

They will in most cases run the dectector around your dastaar but thats it.
