Is it mandatory for kirtania to wear a hazooria? And if so, does it have to be white?

I'm actually wondering about this as well. Because I was recently reading Se Kinehya and Sant Baba Harnaam Singh stated that anyone having Darshan of Dhan Dhan Guru Granth Sahib Jee Maharaj should be wearing a hazooria as it is a sign of humilty and politeness. In fact it was Dashmesh Pita Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Jee who informed him of this himself..

So does this hazooria have to be white or can it be some other color.

Could someone out there please give an educated response?

I guess the question should also apply to the tabla player, and if this rehat should be enforced. How strictly?

A white Hazooriaa should be worn when one partakes in any seva. According to what I have heard, it is Maryada for the Hazooriaa to be of White colour.

Representing Cleanliness and Purity.

Why is it that I see pictures of Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh Jee doing kirtan with his side kirtani and his tabalchee both not wearing Hazooriay, nevermind white hazooriay?

Is it perhaps something that is recommended but not enforced?
