Sikhi is Unique..

Today.. whilst I was in a shop, a Cantonese/ Chinese guy kept looking at me as he walked in..and as he came nearby + i was about to leave, he asked; are you a Sikh from Punjab..obviously i replied yes... and then after a bit of hesitation, he said ' One thing in particular about Sikhs is that they can be always be noticed anywhere'...

Baas...what more do i need to say!

Even a non-Sikh recognised this today....

but then sometimes we get ignorant people who complain about the Sikh faith and try to express it in a way to a point whereby the religion seems meaningless.

Guru Gobind Singh jee created Sikhi image for this very reason as well. Sikhs have to declare their faith out in the open, with pride and without supression..

Anyway..i just thought i would share this small experience jeeo.

Thats a very good input and a positive approach to bana. Well, for me.. 2days ago, i bumped into this amazing looking Nihang Singh, he just looked so pyaara, banaa was spot on.. Neela dummala with chand, farlaa, leaning to his right, clean banaa and shastar.. but was high on Bhang. He put his hand up at me, i jus didnt know what to do. Ive met some amazing Nihangs though. Bana means nothing at times. Its Sad.

This is why Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave us the Dastaar, so we can stand out from the crowd and be known as Singhs and Singhnees. Also, that is why there are 4 specific colours of the Khalsa, so we can be distinguished by colours aswell, being Blue, Black, Orange and White.

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

Almost the same thing happened to me a year ago...an African guy asked me if i was a Sikh. And i said 'yes' and started telling him a bit about Sikhi, that we believe in One God, the Ultimate Reality. And are not Hindus or Muslims. But to my surprise, he said...i know of Sikhism. And he asked me about Gatka. I was like WOW. How come?

He was very intersted in the Sikh warrior style...and the Sikh appearence..Rehat etc.
