£10,000 TO BE A MUSLIM

Sick bin Laden plot to recruit Brit students

MUSLIM extremists are offering students £10,000 to convert to Islam.

Followers of Osama bin Laden - led by his man in the UK, Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed - have been targeting British universities.

Cash-strapped students say Sheikh Omar's Al Muhajiroun group is touting the bribes round bars and lecture theatres.

One student from London University, who asked not to be named for fear of reprisal, said: "It seemed incredible until you see how intense they are on getting you to switch faith.

"They are talking about a weekend rally and inviting us to come along and show our belief."

Al Muhajiroun has been accused of sending young Muslim men to "holy war" training camps including those run by bin Laden.

On Sunday, it plans to show off converts at The Annual Rally for Islam in Trafalgar Square.

Terror recruit Richard Reid, the so-called shoe bomber, was a British national.

Leaflets calling for "global Islam" have also been handed out at universities and colleges.

One passage says: "It is easy to take the Sikh girls out on a date as they generally like a good drink and from there gradually they can be brought into Islam."

The leaflet adds that the Government is too busy helping "gays and homos" to take notice of their activities.

A student from Liverpool said: "They are obviously picking on students because of the money problems. They are telling us there is cash on the table if we join them."

An Al Muhajiroun official last night admitted the group was always seeking new recruits but claimed it was not their policy to offer financial rewards.

Non-Muslim religious groups have issued warnings to their communities.

Hindu Unity warns on their website: "They are on the prowl for gullible Hindu girls."

The UK head of AlMuhajiroun, Amjem Choudary, said: "Fifty people become Muslims every day. We don't need to get people drunk to convert them."

Hold on, the paper just reports the lies that al mahajaroun group are saying in there literature - and in the editorial it supports sikhs by saying that religion is a matter for individuals.
We need newspapers on our side and against the islamic fanatics - and this is the case here - so dont knock the press
