All I can say about this is that you are not doing simran according to Gurmat. You say that you get Kaam while doing simran. This is like saying that water makes fire stronger, instead of extinguishing it.

There are numerous kinds of meditations and there are some meditations that focus on Chakras. Such that focus on the lower chakras of body bring Kaam. Who knows how you are meditating. All I know is that Naam can only take you away from the 5 bikaars and not bring them.

I suggest that you get pesh at the samagam of Punj Pyaaray and ask them for Gurmat Simran.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki fateh.

I too dont get it. Naam cools you down....and strangles kaam/krodh/lobh/moh/hankaar/haumai.... NOT arouse them.

Follow veer Kulbir singh's advice and get soem personal face to face advice from the Panj piyarae.

Remember doing something "wrongly" is worse than not doing it at all.

Everyone's "maan" is different. And meditation brings different experiences to every one. What you are facing is not unusual. Baani tells us over and over that our "Maan is Maila" Our mind is filthy.

Baani teaches us that cleaning ones mind can only be done by Naam Simran. As when one washes one's hands with soap, what comes up first is the dirt and filth. The soap does not cause the filth but is cleaning it.

When we meditate we are attempting to kill the filthy thoughts that are ingrained in our mind through different lives. When you see these thoughts surfacing watch them pass you by. Just as you are standing on a side walk watching cars pass by. This observation itself kills the thought. The problem is when we meditate these thoughts come up rather than watch them pass by we jump on them and ride off with them.

When you meditate these bad thoughts are coming up, your mind is infact being cleansed, let Naam work its magic. These thoughts have lived in your mind for centuries and will not leave easily. Be brave face them. May Waheguru bless you with courage in sustaining you Naam Simran.

"Problem" veer jee, all I can say is don't let this make you stop doing naam simran!

Maybe Guru Sahib is testing your ability to have perseverence. You need to not give up and trust in Guru Sahib while doing simran, keep doing it, continue doing it, but you are having kaami thoughts you said, so I suggest that before doing your naam simran, do ardaas in front of Guru Sahib, remember the ten Guru Sahibans, and the jagti jot Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee. Ask him in prayer to keep your mind away from evil and worldly thoughts, and ask him to keep your concentration on Him. Veer jee, these kaami thoughts come for a reason. I suggest before doing simran, think for a minute why these thoughts come into your mind. Know that this is just maaya, all going to be left one day when you leave this world. So why build up such thoughts in your mind that will take you away from Vaheguru, when in the end VAHEGURU is the one who will be ang sang sahaee with you, So do ardaas everyday with more and more pyaar to bless you with naam simran di daat.

Good luck in ur journey veer jee...keep strong....bhul chuk muaaf...Waheguru jee ka khalsa Waheguru jee ki fateh!
