The word Jor appears in asa di var a number of times.

Is there a guide as to when the word should be pronounced zor vs jor?

From my little knowledge I think you pronounce the word zor when the meaning is referring to power/strength and the word jor when it refers to joining.

I don't think there are any quick rules other than when ਜੋ is attached to ੜ it is usually pronounced as Jorh.

However more qualified Gursikhs can give a more educated response.

Thanks, I knew the above already. Sometimes I have a hard time remembering meanings, especially when I am doing just daily patt. Mostly because of english as a first language.

I was just thinking that in Asa Di var, Jor only appears a handful of times, so if someone knew if most of them were zor or jor, it would be helpful to a lot of people.

From my research, as a rule, Jor should be pronounced Zor throughout asa di var bani.
