Bible distribution plans moving forward in Punjab State

India (MNN) ¯ Bibles For The World's Mawii Pudaite says the ministry began a
strategic outreach program in Punjab three years ago, amidst strong
resistance to Christianity. The state is the birthplace of the Sikh religion
and the only state of India with a Sikh majority. 
According to available statistics, only two of the state's 96 people groups
are known to have any Christians in their communities. Pudaite says, "Every
day in Chandigarh, north India, national missionaries working door-to-door
distribute more than a thousand Gospels of John. Every day families come
face to face with the Gospel, perhaps for the very first time." 
By 2006, missionaries were reporting an increasing number weekly cell groups
that had begun meeting for Bible study and discipleship. Pudaite says one
year for Christmas, new believers gave out 25,000 copies of the Gospel of
John to their neighbors. Since the program began, missionaries have
distributed 250,000 Gospels of John
That makes their objective clear. There are 66 sectors, each one home to
over 5,000 households. Pudaite urges prayer support and financial help. To
expedite their mission, the team started collecting funds last year to buy
bicycles. The small team now has five bicycles

Pudaite is hopeful this growth trend continues. "This year, our goal is to
distribute to 500,000 homes. With the bicycles to speed up their way, our
national missionaries are very much challenged [sic] to undertake this task.
It costs 25-cents a copy."

It's surprising. They have nothing substantial to offer to the spiritually starved humankind but yet they have so much enthusiasm to spread their message. We have such vast treasure of our Guru Sahibaan in the form of Gurbani but we are so lazy and carefree in telling anyone about it.

Nothing will work there unless character of Sikh masses will rise up to the Sikhi standards. This is our first hand experience that before 1999 when the wave was so high to bring the Amrit Chakko message to maximum homes in Panjab we distributed a lot of literature printed by SGPC with their help to the villages we could go. Guess what? We have seen that literature back on ਛੋਂਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੇੜੀ ਤੇ for rolls to sell the Sholay and Moo(n)falee. That kind of reading interest and respect we have for our literature. Nothing will work only individual Sikh's jeevan is role model to inspire others like Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh jee. Whose Sikhi kamayee not only inspired with in Sikh masses but the Comrades who did not even believe in GOD. We need more Sikhs like him than a booklet.

ਗੱਲ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਦਰੁਸਤ ਹੈ ਵੀਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਸਪਿਰਿਟ ਜੀ ਦੀ। ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਪੰਥ ਵਿਚ ਮੁੜ ਪਰਗਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ, ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਪੰਥ ਦੀ ਚੜਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਭਾਈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਹੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉੱਦਮ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਸਾਲੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੀ ਮੁਜੱਸਮ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਸੀ।

ਕਦੀ ਸੋਚੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਮਹਾਪੁਰਖ ਸਨ। ਰੰਗਲੇ ਸਜਣ ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ 22 ਐਸੇ ਮਹਾਂਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ, ਭਾਈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਲੋਂ ਅੰਕਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਰ ਕਰਨੀ ਵਾਲੇ, ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਸਿਰਫ ਜਥੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸਨ, ਪੰਥ ਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਗੱਲ ਹੀ ਛਡੋ। ਫੀ-ਜ਼ਮਾਨਾ, ਤਾਂ ‘ਹਉ ਭਾਲਿ ਵਿਕੁੰਨੀ ਹੋਈ ॥ ਆਧੇਰੈ ਰਾਹੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥’ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੋਈ ਪਈ ਹੈ। ਦੁਨੀਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰਾਂ ਮਹਿਰੂਮ ਲਗਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰੇਗਿਸਤਾਨ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ। ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀਵ ‘…ਕੈ ਗਲਿ ਲਗੈ ਧਾਇ ॥’ ਧਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਗਲੇ ਲੱਗੇ? ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾਂ ਭਾਈਆਂ ਮੀਤਾਂ ਅਵਰੀਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਇਹ ਭਵਸਾਗਰ ਅਸਰਾਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਲੰਘਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ?

ਭਾਈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰਣਧੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪੇਸ਼ਨਗੋਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਝੁੰਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਰਬਲੋਹੀ ਤੱਤ ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਣਗੇ। ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਨ, ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਦੇਖ ਲਈਏ।

ਭਾਈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਨਗੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀ ਕਦੋਂ ਸੱਚ ਹੋਵੇ ਪਰ KOI HARIA BOOT RAHIO REE ਜਰੂਰ ਸੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਆਸ ਪਾਸ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਦੋੜਾਇਆ ਕੂੜ ਤੇ ਪਾਖੰਡ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਦਾ ਹੈ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਇਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਆਪਦੇ ਢਿਲੜ ਪੁਣੇ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਹੋਵਣ। ਖੈਰ ਇਨਾਂ ਈਸਾਈ ਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਗੱਫਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਆਸ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਇਹਨਾ ਦਾ ਭਾਂਡਾ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਫਿਰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗੂ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਭਾਅ ਵਿਕਦੀ ਹੈ।

shouldnt these missionarys be banned? what good are they doing? they just want to stir religious differnces.

also sangat should be less passive- they should always be invited to join in singing rather than sit quietly.

what does this mean:ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਸਿਰਫ ਜਥੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸਨ?

It is realy shamefull for so called Sikh missioaries.Why do not they and Ragi Darshan Singh Ji,distribute Gurbani litrature and well explained to non Sikh masses of India and in westernt hemisphere?

Anyway AKJ,DDT etc. can do this.Well Spokesman and co and our Ragi Ji more busy to rise an alerm bells in Sikhs and das is sorry to say,get finicial support to be a defender of sikhism from hinduism and immorality.

But if we see Chrisitian Holy Bible's old testment has very crude things but no on ever worte anything wrong about it in Christian world.They still distribute that.

RSS people say that these Ragi and Co just wants to deviate the Sikh attention from Chrsitian missioaries and communsts and let them fight.But should they(RSS) be trusted?

Mani thing what das thinks is offence is the best form of defence,so aggresively as a Sikh we should spread the meaasge of Gurbani to non Sikhs from all walks of life.Do not listen to so called Sants or so called missioaries like Ghugga Sahib and his bunch of followers.As we have faith in Akal and have devotion to the same.We further do not need any other interpetation of Guru Granth Sahib JI be it from right(say elements calimed to be realted by reactionary hindus) or left(who start from anti miracle and move forward to anti God).

You have taken only part of what I had written in my first post. Indeed, if you look at the above quoted part of my writing, you would get misled. This is what I wrote:

I was trying to say that in Jatha alone there were so many Jeevan waalay Gursikhs at the time of Bhai Sahib, what to talk about whole of Panth. In other words, out of Jatha too, there were a lot of karni walay Gursikhs at that time. This is what I meant. You missed this part of the quote - ਪੰਥ ਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਗੱਲ ਹੀ ਛਡੋ।
